What I do

Chemical process design for plants: taking a process from concept to something that can be built, operated, and maintained safely. I’m a licensed PE (South Carolina), and I practice this at Total Aspect Design, a small process design company in Greer, SC.

The work

  • Piping system design per ASME B31.3 — line sizing, material selection, thermal expansion/flexibility analysis, and pressure relief design
  • Instrument specification packages — datasheets ready for competitive vendor bidding, through technical bid evaluation and procurement
  • PFD & P&ID development — mass-and-energy-balance-driven process flow diagrams and P&IDs, carried through HAZOP and design review cycles

Where to find it

For project work and inquiries, head to totalaspectdesign.com — that’s the front door for everything professional. I made the website for the company as well, so I’ve put a good bit of time over there relaying everything we do. In other words, I’ll keep it short here, do a deeper dive over there if you’re interested in this work.
